Hi, I'm Stephanie Wright.
I'm a journalist interested in local news, data reporting, audience engagement, and social media. I worked as editor-in-chief of The Daily Orange, Syracuse University's independent student newspaper, for the 2024-25 academic year. At The Daily Orange, I covered campus, local and cultural news for all four years of my time on campus. As editor-in-chief, I managed a staff of 50 students as we produced daily content, including a weekly print edition.

Most recently, I published an investigation into how an SU alum faced delays in a sexual assault lawsuit against the university. I also recently reported on changes to a diversity fellowship at SU due to a federal directive.

I worked as an intern for The Pulse of GovCon, a research and advisory firm in the federal contracting marketplace, where I conducted research and analysis on federal contracts and policy. I published an article in Contract Management magazine through this internship as well. I also have extensive experience working in communications and copy editing.

I have a dual bachelor's degree in political science and magazine, news, and digital journalism from Syracuse University.
